Research and development

Because we want to stay on the cutting edge of our field, the Ilter Clinic is constantly looking into new scientific and technical advances in hair transplant research and development. We also carry out our own research and development to find even better surgical methods for the future.
In earlier years, hair transplant surgery was characterized by a macro focus (i.e. large punch grafts). However, the current focus is much more micro oriented and is moving into nano surgery. For example, MD Ilter has developed the highest precision of the FUE instruments, measuring just 0.6 mm in diameter compared to the industry standard of 1.0 mm. Furthermore, we are convinced these tools will become even smaller in the future.
But even if many clinics now use micro tools, they still look at surgery from a macro perspective. Sadly, this outdated way to view the work causes unnecessary suffering, longer recovery times, difficult operations and inferior results.

Our ambition is to continue performing professional hair transplants based on the latest medical technology. As a result, we take part in seminars, conferences and training to keep our leading position and advance our surgical skills with new hair transplant techniques.

New research and technology give us hope for the future. There is a strong belief that someday soon we will be able to eliminate some limitations in the donor area through gene therapy and by cloning hair follicles.
